One day after traveling to St. James to take on the Saints, the Bucs played host to their Big South Conference rival at the 14th Street Diamonds in Blue Earth on Tuesday, April 15.

Unfortunately for BEA, their offense continues to struggle as they were held hitless by the St. James pitcher, Laney Bowers.

The Saints got on the scoreboard in the top of the first inning with two runs. They added five more runs in the top of the second inning, three more in the top of the third and seven more in the top of the fourth.

They accumulated 17 hits during the game.

St. James scored six times in the first inning and added single runs in the second and third innings before ending the game with seven runs in the fourth inning.

Maple River 11, BEA 1

The Bucs and the Eagles were locked in a close battle through the first three innings of their game played in Mapleton on Saturday, April 12.

Maple River still held a 1-0 lead after three and a half innings of play. However, the Eagles pushed seven runs across the plate in the bottom of the fourth inning to take an 8-0 lead.

BEA broke up the shutout with one run in the top of the fifth inning. Cassandra Hagedorn led off the inning with a single and moved to second base when Brooklyn Rosenau was hit by a pitch.

A double steal put Hagedorn on third base and Rosenau on second. Hagedorn scored on a ground out by Jessi James.

The Bucs held the Eagles scoreless in the bottom of the fifth but Maple River added three more runs in their half of the sixth inning to end the game with an 11-1 victory.
