USC’s Brant Blosser is ahead of the pack during the 110-meter relay at the True Team Section Meet.

The United South Central/Alden-Conger boys and girls track teams competed at the Gopher Conference Track Meet held on Saturday, May 10, at Janesville-Waldorf-Pemberton.

The USC/A-C boys team had 88.5 points which put them into third place. The girls team had 33 points and were in a tie for seventh place.

Boys Team Results

The USC/A-C boys were led by Brant Blosser who took a first place in the 110-meter high hurdles with a time of 15:38. In fact, the Rebels swept the top three spots in the high hurdles with Issac Hartman taking second with a time of 16:59 and Jayden Barnick taking third at 17:15.

Hartman took second in the 300-meter hurdles with a time of 43.89, a personal record best. Jace Ignaszewski took second in the same event with a time of 44.99 and Blosser was third at 46.21.

Also grabbing a second place was the 4×400-meter relay team of Shaune Peterson, Ignaszewski, Hartman and Maxwell Schull. Their time was 3:51.12.

Barnick took a third in the high jump with a height of 6-1.

Taking fourth was the 4×800-meter relay team of Skyler Sandsmark, Riley Krohnberg, Aiden Edwards and Garrett Lau with a time of 10:11.61, a personal record.

Henry Beaver was fifth in the shot put with a throw of 42-3, a PR. Joshua Brooks was tied for fifth in the pole vault at a height of 9-2.

The 4×200-meter relay team of Peterson, Caleb Whiteside, Ben Dehne and Gavin Bird was sixth at 1:45.10. Schull was sixth in the 400-meter with a PR of 55.36. Ezra Edwards was sixth in the discus with a throw of 121-1. Angel Dejesus was sixth in the long jump with a distance of 18-3, and Alexis Arguijo was seventh in the same event at 17-9, a personal record.

The 4×100-meter relay team of Whiteside, Bird, Arguijo and Dejesus was seventh with a time of 49.57.

Dejesus was eighth in the 100-meter dash with a time of 12:02. Edwards was eighth in the 1600 meter with a time of 5:35.04, a personal record.

Girls Team Results

The 4×800-meter relay team of Clare Kruse, Emma Johnson, Hannah Warmka and Alexis Guenther took third with a personal record best time of 12:09.67.

Chloe Bullerman took third in the 300-meter hurdles with a time of 52.01. Madison Passer was sixth in the same event with a personal record time of 54.21.

Danyelle Dickson was fourth in the 400 meter with a time of 1:02.26, a personal record.

The 4×400-meter relay team of Bullerman, Guenther, Kruse and Dickson was fifth with a time of 4:37.57.

Passer was sixth in the 100-meters high hurdles with a time of 18.08. Dickson was sixth in the 200 meter at 28.08.

Jaelyn Stangler was eighth in the shot put with a throw of 27-9 and was also eighth in the discus with a distance of 79-0.

The Rebel track teams were scheduled to compete in a meet hosted by Triton on May 16 before hosting the Sub-Section Meet on Thursday, May 22.
