The Blue Earth Area Bucs had a spectacular week of tennis, first defeating Marshall at their home meet on Thursday, Aug. 21, then hitting the road to sweep Pipestone Area at an away meet in Pipestone on Tuesday, Aug. 26.

The Bucs swept the Marshall Tigers with a decisive 7-0 victory at their home meet on Thursday, Aug. 21.

Buc Grace Hanson defeated Tiger Brooklyn Mauch in No. 1 singles, winning 6-3, 6-0.

Addison Prescher defeated Kathryn Coudron in No. 2 singles, winning 6-0, 6-1.

Abigail Greff defeated Kyra Bailey in No. 3 singles, winning 6-2, 6-1.

Abbey Lorenz defeated Cora Medina in No. 4 singles, winning 6-2, 6-1.

Carol Schrader and Grace Schavey had a tight match, but held on to defeat Emry Weller and Jazilyn Steinberg-Jones in No. 1 doubles, winning 5-7, 7-5, 10-7.

Erin Prescher and Brooklyn Rosenau defeated Ilianna Bautista and Emry Jans in No. 2 doubles, winning in straight sets 6-0, 6-0.

McKinley Hanson and Katelyn Storbeck defeated Peyton DeMuth and Emerson DeMuth in No. 3 doubles, winning in straight sets 6-3, 6-1.

Abigail Greff held on to defeat Laura Minet in No. 3 singles, winning 2-6, 6-1, 10-3.
