The Blue Earth Area Bucs had a week of ups and downs, defeating Redwood Valley at a home meet on Thursday, Aug. 28 before hitting the road to take on St. James Area in St. James on Tuesday, Sept. 2.

BEA 7, Redwood Valley 0

The BEA Bucs swept the Redwood Valley Cardinals 7-0 at their home meet on Thursday, Aug. 28.

Buc Grace Hanson defeated Cardinal Kaelynn Welsh in No. 1 singles, winning in straight sets 6-2, 6-2.

Addison Prescher defeated Eloise Brozek in No. 2 singles, winning in straight sets 6-0, 6-1.

Abigail Greff defeated Anais Cournoyer in No. 3 singles, winning in straight sets 6-0, 6-1.

Abbey Lorenz defeated Yazmin Nunez in No. 4 singles, winning in straight sets 6-0, 6-0.

Grace Schavey and Carol Schrader defeated Kiki Goodthunder and Grace Blare in No. 1 doubles, winning in straight sets 6-2, 6-1.

Erin Prescher and Brooklyn Rosenau defeated Faith Bruns and Ellery Larsen in No. 2 doubles, winning in straight sets 6-0, 6-2.

Mckinley Hanson and Katelyn Storbeck defeated Iris Vogland and Emma Lindsmeier in No. 3 doubles, winning in straight sets 6-2, 6-0.

St. James Area 6, BEA 1

The Bucs hit their first major roadblock of the season against the St. James Area Saints, losing 6-1 at their away meet in St. James on Tuesday, Sept. 2.

Buc Grace Hanson was defeated by Saint Keyana Haler in No. 1 singles, losing 6-3, 6-2.

Abigail Greff was defeated by Elizabeth Shores in No. 2 singles, losing 6-2, 6-0.

Abbey Lorenz was defeated by Ellie Romsdahl in No. 3 singles, losing 6-1, 6-3.

Natalie Schiltz was defeated by Claire Carlson in No. 4 singles, losing 6-2, 6-3.

Carol Schrader and Grace Schavey were defeated by Ellie Anderson and Alivia Romsdahl in No. 1 doubles, losing 6-3, 6-0.

Addison Prescher and Erin Prescher were the only Bucs to emerge victorious, defeating Valeria Aguilar and Ruby Ciske in No. 2 doubles, winning 6-3, 1-6, 10-5.

Katelyn Storbeck and Mckinley Hanson were defeated by Maren Bluedorn and Julia Westman in No. 3 doubles, losing 7-5, 6-4.
