The Blue Earth Area Bucs had a roller coaster of a week in tennis, dominating Luverne at a home meet on Monday, Sept. 22 before being served a devastatingly close defeat against Maple River at a home meet on Tuesday, Sept. 23.

Maple River 4, BEA 3

The Bucs put up a good fight, but ultimately came up short against the Maple River Eagles, losing 4-3 at their home meet on Tuesday, Sept. 23.

Buc Grace Hanson was defeated by Eagle Tabitha Barkosky in No. 1 singles, losing 7-6, 6-0.

Addison Prescher was defeated by Macy Sohre in No. 2 singles, losing 6-3, 6-0.

Abigail Greff was defeated by Madison Ward in No. 3 singles, losing 6-3, 6-1.

Abbey Lorenz defeated Kaelyn Thomas in No. 4 singles, winning 6-2, 6-0.

Carol Schrader and Grace Schavey were defeated by Ally Mersman and Claire Langworthy in No. 1 doubles, losing 6-3, 6-4.

Erin Prescher and Brooklyn Rosenau defeated Kennedi Oliver and Norah Davis in No. 2 doubles, winning 6-1, 6-2.

Mckinley Hanson and Katelyn Storbeck turned things around to defeat Merrit Ward and Haddie Sharkey in No. 3 doubles, winning 4-6, 6-0, 6-3.

BEA 7, Luverne 0

The Bucs swept the Luverne Cardinals with a decisive 7-0 victory at their home meet on Monday, Sept. 22.

Buc Grace Hanson defeated Cardinal Addyson Mann in No. 1 singles, winning 6-2, 6-1.

Addison Prescher defeated Hannah Kempema in No. 2 singles, winning 6-0, 6-2.

Abigail Greff defeated Sophia Remme in No. 3 singles, winning 6-2, 6-2.

Abbey Lorenz defeated Lauren Peters in No. 4 singles, winning 6-1, 6-2.

Carol Schrader and Grace Schavey held on to defeat Elizabeth Mulder and Jessika Tunnissen in No. 1 doubles, winning 6-2, 2-6, 10-5.

Erin Prescher and Brooklyn Rosenau defeated Makayla Oechsle and Gracyn Woodley in No. 2 doubles, winning 6-3, 6-2.

Mckinley Hanson and Katelyn Storbeck defeated Emmery Huiskes and Lilly Lanoue in No. 3 doubles, winning 6-1, 6-2.
