Rebels’ cross country team runs in Jim Flim Invitational
The United South Central cross country teams participated in the Jim Flim Invitational Cross Country Meet at St. Mary’s University in Winona on Saturday, Sept. 20.
Both the boys and girls team had incomplete team scores.
However the USC C-squad Team did have a full team and placed fourth in the 3200 meters race, with a score of 89, just one point behind Rochester John Marshall which had tallied an 88.
Anfin Druckenmiller led the way for the Rebels in the C-race, coming in at 24th with a time of 14:57. Basil Kruse was right behind in 25th place with a time of 15:07. Micah Meyer was in 30th place with his time of 15:46.
Owen Gooden had a time of 16:45.6 for 42nd place and less than one second behind him was Elias Lenz, who was in at 16:46.2 and in 43rd place.
Both Gooden and Lenz just beat out a runner from RAACHE (Rochester Area Association of Christian Home Education). The RAACHE runner also had a time of 16:46.2 and the winner, Lenz, was determined by going to the thousandths of a second.
The USC boys varsity had an incomplete team score. Laiken Farris was in 68th place at 20:01, and Riley Krohnberg was in 94th place at 21:42.
The USC girls also did not have a complete team score. Alexis Guenther came in at 64th place with a time of 24:55 and Reyna Solland was in 88th place with a time of 33:25.
