Three Rebels receive honors at Gopher Conference Meet

It was a great day for the United South Central cross country teams at the Gopher Conference Championship Meet on Tuesday, Oct. 14, at the Oaks Golf Course in Hayfield.

Two members of the USC boys varsity team, and one member of the girls varsity team received conference honors.

And, the Rebel’s junior varsity boys team won the Conference C-Race.

Laiken Farris set a personal record for his fastest time he has ever run and ended up in fifth place, earning All-Conference First Team honors. His time was 18:14.

Riley Krohnberg also had a personal best time of 19:56 and was named to the All-Conference Honorable Mention team. He was in 20th place.

Gavin Gonsalez also had a personal record time of 22:05 and was in 40th place.

For the girls’ team, Alexis Guenther had her best time for this season at 21:37 and was in seventh place. She was named to the All-Conference Second Team.

Reyna Solland beat her previous personal record time by six minutes, coming in at 27:29. Isabella Guenther had her season record time of 33:39.

In the boys C-Race, Rebel runners placed second, third, fourth, fifth and seventh.

Anfin Druckenmiller led the way with a second place finish and a time of 12:43. Basil Kruse was right behind him at 13:31 good for third place. In fourth place was Micah Meyer at 14:07 and in fifth was Owen Gooden with a time of 14:12. Elias Lenz was seventh at 14:19.
