Gymnasts break school scoring record
Team tallies 139.525 points to hand MCA their first loss of the season

The BEA/USC gymnastics team has soared to new heights, setting not one but two new school records over their last two meets; besting both Luverne and Pipestone at their away meet on Thursday, Jan. 8 in Luverne, then handing Martin County Area their first loss of the season at their home meet on Tuesday, Jan. 12.

BEA/USC had a record-breaking showing at their home meet on Jan. 12, putting up a combined team score of 139.525 to topple the previously undefeated Martin County Area’s score of 135.6.
Mariah Anderson set a new personal best on vault, earning first place overall with a score of 9.6. Parker Stallman took fourth place with a score of 8.675, Haedyn Cole came in fifth with a score of 8.55, and Brynlee Amundson took ninth with a score of 8.375. The team’s combined score was 35.2.
Anderson also took the top spot on uneven bars, swinging her way to first place with a score of 9.525. Stallman came in third with a score of 8.35, Amundson took fourth with a score of 7.475, and Cole’s score of 7.175 was good for a seventh place tie with teammate Audrey Schonborn. The team’s combined score was 32.525.
Anderson set another personal record on balance beam, earning first place with a score of 9.75. Stallman and Cole also set new personal bests, with Stallman scoring 8.8 to take third place overall and Cole taking fourth with a score of 8.7. Kailey Boettcher rounded out the team with a sixth place finish and score of 8.6 to bring the team’s combined score to 38.85.
Anderson completed her rotation with a first place finish in floor routine, scoring 9.6. Cole set a new personal best with a score of 8.9, which earned her sixth place. Stallman took seventh place with a score of 8.8, and Amundson set a new personal best of 8.65, which earned her eighth place. The team’s combined score was 35.95.
Anderson finished the event with a new personal best in all-around, earning first place with a combined score of 38.475. Stallman took third place with a score of 34.265, and Cole came in fourth with a combined score of 33.325.
Luverne Double Dual
BEA/USC came out on top with a combined team score of 138.675, earning them first place and setting a new school record, with several gymnasts setting new personal bests in their events. Luverne came in second with a total score of 128.225, and Pipestone took third with a score of 127.975.
Haedyn Cole led the Bucs on vault with a score of 8.675. Brynlee Amundson followed close behind with a score of 8.65, Parker Stallman scored 8.55, and Kailey Boettcher had a score of 8.45 for a combined team score of 34.325.

Anderson finished with a strong showing in floor exercise, scoring 9.5. Stallman followed close behind with a score of 9.075, Cole set her third personal best of the night with a score of 8.875, and Boettcher also set a personal best with a score of 8.5. The team’s combined score for floor exercise was 35.95.
Stallman and Cole both set personal bests in all-around, with Stallman’s combined score being 34.725, and Cole’s being 34.4.
