Gymnasts are Gold Division Champions
Worthington claims overall BSC title in narrow victory over BEA/USC
The BEA/USC gymnastics team are the champions of the BSC Gold Division for 2026.
The BEA/USC gymnastics team closed out their regular season as gold division champions, defeating Waseca at an away meet on Thursday, Feb. 5 before their rematch with Worthington at home on Saturday, Feb. 7.

It was an incredibly tight battle between Worthington and BEA/USC on Feb. 7, with Worthington cinching the win by a narrow margin with a combined team score of 140.7 to BEA/USC’s 139.225. However, the BEA/USC girls still ended their regular season on a high note, being named gold division champions of the Big South Conference.
Mariah Anderson led her team on vault, taking first place overall with a score of 9.4. Parker Stallman earned fifth place with a score of 8.7, and Haedyn Cole and Taylynn Amundson just barely missed the podium, both scoring an 8.6. The team’s combined score for vault was 35.3.
Anderson swung her way to victory on uneven bars, scoring 9.6 for a first place finish. Stallman came in third overall with a score of 8.45, and Cole took fifth with a score of 8.07. Brynlee Amundson rounded out bars with a score of 7.6 for a combined team score of 33.7.
Anderson also took first overall on balance beam, scoring 9.6. Cole came in fourth with a score of 8.825. Kyannah Brandt and Stallman did not make the podium, scoring 8.05 and 7.9 respectively. The team’s combined score on beam was 34.375.
Anderson completed her rotation with her highest score of the night, finishing first overall on floor routine with a score of 9.7. Stallman took fifth place with a score of 9.125. Cole scored 8.55, and Taylynn Amundson scored 8.475 for a combined team score of 35.85.
Anderson took first overall in all-around with a combined score of 38.3. Stallman took fifth place with a combined score of 34.175, and Cole came in close behind with a combined score of 34.025, which earned her sixth place overall.
“We were right there with Worthington – we beat them on bars, but they had a pretty big advantage on floor,” coach Rachel Cole explained. “The girls had a lot of fun, and even though we didn’t finish with the win, being the Gold Division champions is a really big deal for the girls and this program.”

The BEA/USC Bucs clipped the wings of the Waseca Bluejays, defeating them on Feb. 5 with a combined team score of 136.375 to Waseca’s 133.525.
Mariah Anderson took the top spot on vault, earning first place overall with a score of 9.7, while Parker Stallman’s score of 8.8 was good for second place. Haedyn Cole and Brynlee Amundson each scored 8.525, bringing the team’s combined score on vault to 35.55.
Anderson also took first on uneven bars, scoring 9.4. Cole took third place overall with a score of 7.9, while Amundson’s score of 7.55 was good for fifth place. Stallman’s score of 6.9 brought the team’s combined score for bars to 31.8.
Anderson kept her hot streak going on balance beam, taking first place with a score of 9.55. Kailey Boettcher set a new personal best with a score of 8.925, earning second place overall. Cole’s score of 8.15 was good for fourth place, and Stallman’s score of 7.725 brought the team’s total score to 34.35.
Anderson finished her rotation with a score of 9.625 on floor routine, earning her first place overall. Stallman’s score of 8.75 was good for third place, and Cole came in fifth overall with a score of 8.5. Taylynn Amundson rounded out floor routine with a score of 7.8 for a combined team score of 34.675.
Anderson took first overall in all-around with a combined score of 38.275. Cole took third place with a combined score of 33.125, and Stallman finished with a combined score of 32.125.
