USC boys open season with tough loss
Golfers ended up losing by two strokes to the Alden-Conger squad
United South Central golfer Brennan Olson shot a 41 to earn medalist honors in the Rebels’ golf meet against Alden-Conger on April 7, at Oakview Golf Course.
The United South Central boys golf team lost a heartbreaker in their first match of the season.
The Rebels lost by just two strokes to Alden-Conger on a windy, chilly, Tuesday, April 7, on the Oakview Golf Course.
Alden-Conger came in with a team score of 194, while USC came at 196.
USC senior Brennan Olson shot a 41 and was the medalist at the meet.
Other varsity scores that added up to the team total were Octavio Hernandez and Colten Husfeldt each carding a score of 51 and were tied for seventh place.
Jaxon Hart shot a 53 for 10th place and the fourth score for the team total.
Other varsity golfers were Ryder Anderson with a 56 for 14th place and Dylan Parks a 57 for 16th place.
There were a total of 23 golfers participating.
The boys next meet was scheduled for Thursday, April 16, facing Hayfield at the Oaks Golf Club in rural Hayfield.
USC Girls Golf Results
The United South Central girls golf team had an incomplete team score against Alden-Conger on Tuesday, April 7, while Alden-Conger had team score of 229.
Brynlee Olson led the Rebels with a score of 79, good for ninth place out of the 12 girl golfers.
Bella Roberts shot an 81 good for 11th place and Jayleigh Steckelberg was in 12 place with a score of 84.
The Rebel girls will also be at the Oaks Golf Club in rural Hayfield on Thursday, April 16.
