New pastor at Hope United Methodist Church
Pastor Godfrey Gakuru’s journey of faith has led him halfway across the world from Kenya to Washington, D.C. to Minnesota, and as the newly appointed pastor of Hope United Methodist Church, he seeks to share his faith with the Blue Earth community. “I was born in Kenya, and while I was living there I began my work with the Methodist Church in Kenya,” Gakuru explains. “Our conference has a lot of connections to the Methodist conferences here in the United States, which is how I came to Washington, D.C. to pursue my Masters degree.” After completing his Bachelors degree in ...
