Marvis A.E. Karge, 87

Frost – Marvis Ann Evelyn Karge, age 87, of Frost passed away on Sunday, June 22, 2025 at St. Luke’s Lutheran Care Center, Blue Earth, MN. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, July 3, 2025 at 11 a.m. with visitation two hours (9-11 a.m.) prior at United Lutheran Church, Frost, MN.
Marv was born on April 10, 1938 at her grandma’s house in Blue Earth, to Herman and Florence (Klatt) Loge. She graduated in 1956 from Frost High School. Shortly after graduation, she started her most memorable job of switch board operator at the Frost Telephone Office. She met and fell in love with Arnold Karge and the couple was married on June 17, 1956 at United Lutheran Church, Frost. From this union, they were blessed with four children. Family became and continued to be the focus of her life. Her devotion to her family was obvious to anyone who knew her. Her special talents always lied in gift giving, such as baking kringla for loved ones and making family gatherings extra special with her often requested potato salad. She was the rock of her family, providing the strength and support to everyone. She always put family first. To her, family was everything.
Marv is survived by her children: Susie (Bob) Loge, Kathy (DJ) Anderson, and David (Melodie) Karge; 12 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; sisters: Hermina Folven, Sandy (Gerald) Urban, Lynette (Juel) Merseth; brother, Marlyn (Kathy) Loge; and many special nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Arnie; son, Steve; her parents; her parents-in-law; sister, Dona Matheson; brother, Loren Loge; sister-in-law, Linda Loge; brothers-in-law, Carlyle Matheson and Don Folven; and nephews, Gary Folven and Matt Loge.
