The two United South Central golfers who qualified for the Class A State Golf Tournament did well during the two-day tournament held at Pebble Creek Golf Course in Becker.

USC junior Brennan Olson shot a 77 score on the first day of the tournament last Tuesday, which was the fifth best score of the first day.

On the second day Olson came in with an 83 which gave him a two day total of 160. That put him in 23rd place out of the 88 golfers at State.

This was Olson’s first appearance at the State Tournament.

Recently graduated senior Emma Heggen shot a 90 for her first day, which had her in 27th place after the first day.

On the second day Heggen again shot the same score, a 90, and that gave her a two day total of 180 and put her in 29th place out of the 86 golfers competing.

This was Heggen’s third appearance at the State Tournament. She finished in 64th place in 2023 and 54th in 2024, so this was a huge improvement and a great way to finish her high school golf career.
